Clothing with Islay Golf Club Logo

As is usually the case with the Cross coming up, Ron Goudie has had some enquiries about clothing with our logo on it and he is about to put in an order.

If you would like something, then please first look at the Glenmuir website https://www.glenmuir.com/

Decide the colour, size etc of whatever you want (and for the logo is has to be shirt, jumper etc, no waterproofs can be done - hats require a minimum number)

and then e-mail Ron :  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it   and he will arrange payment and delivery etc.

The deadline for this is SATURDAY 9TH JULY to ensure things get here for Cross Week.

Machrie Golf Links Seeding of the new fairways and approaches has now begun.

Could all golfers please stay off these areas wherever possible.

If you need to retrieve your ball, please take the shortest direct route leaving your trolley or buggy on the original fairways.

All construction areas will remain G.U.R. and relief must be taken.

Your cooperation and assistance with this will ensure the new areas have a higher rate of germination and ultimately establishment for us all to enjoy.

Thank You

Dean Muir Course Manager

Guest Sign-ons for New Members
Written by Scott Currie
Monday, 14 September 2015 13:47

There is now an amendment to our agreement with the Machrie Hotel such that new members are NOT permitted to sign on any guests until they have been a member for three months. (This is obviously to prevent large groups visiting for only a few days from having one or two members join and sign the others on).

Note that anyone allowing their membership to lapse, or downgrade to "retained", will be treated as a new member should they rejoin. It does not matter how late in the year you rejoin as long as you were a member in the previous year, and pay the full subscription due, then your membership will be continuous.  Anyone whose membership has lapsed, and who wishes to sign people on, will have to rejoin three months in advance of the requirement.  The joining date is the date on which the full payment has been received.

Your attention is drawn to a couple of new documents (under General Information) which will be updated as and when necessary.  The first is "Rules and Codes" which outlines the rules placed upon members as part of our agreement with the Machrie Hotel. The second "Committee Decisions" is a record of current committee decisions which affect the running of the club and its competitions.
